ANOTHER WORD FOR LUCK
I’ve seen players employ every kind of superstition - rubbing a rabbit’s foot, making the sign of a cross, kissing photographs of their children, and so on. Sometimes they work, other times they don’t. When you step into a casino, everything you need to know about luck boils down to good trends and bad trends.
And the only way you’re ever going to win at a casino is to find and then exploit good trends when they come along. But you also need to be able to identify losing trends so you can cut your losses and get out of Dodge. Remember: Trends are your friends. Once you’ve found a hot trend, how do you go about exploiting it? That’s where money management comes in. And I’m not talking about balancing your checksite. I’m talking about how much you bet and how you bet it. The math weenies say that it doesn’t matter how you bet… in the long run. But that’s just stupid. Of course it matters how you bet. Most people play by their gut. And when you consider that new casinos are sprouting up all over the country, it’s clear the gut doesn’t have a clue.
